Perry has worked in senior living communities for over 20 years. Perry feels privileged to have built a career working with seniors because they have taught him so much over the years. He encourages all residents to share their wisdom and knows he will always walk away learning something new. Perry lives in Mansfield (home of the UCONN Huskies) with his wife, Jill. They have two grown children: Eric and his wife Rachel who live in Boston, MA, and Elizabeth who lives in Manchester, CT.
Jennifer has a strong history working in the senior living industry. She enjoys working with seniors and their families and loves helping them transition into a fulfilling retirement lifestyle. Jennifer is a founding member of the Central Connecticut Senior Network (a prominent networking group) and serves on its leadership team. Jennifer lives in Killingworth with her husband and two rescue dogs and has a son who is attending the University of New Haven.
Lucille Bowen, RN
Director of Wellness
Lucille has more than two decades of experience in healthcare and wellness. Prior to joining The Saybrook at Haddam, Lucille held several healthcare-management positions in assisted living facilities. Early in her career, she was a Staff Nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital, which helped her realize her enjoyment in caring for and working with older adults. Lucille holds a Master’s in Science in Health Services Management from New School University and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from College of Mount Saint Vincent. In her off time, Lucille enjoys spending time with her son, daughter, three grandchildren, and her dog Gabby.
Director of Safe Harbor
Kathy manages the day-to-day and long-term efforts at The Saybrook at Haddam's Safe Harbor Memory Care Neighborhood. She brings a rich background in dementia and senior care to this role, leveraging her skills in customer service and communications to build strong, open relationships with residents and their families. Kathy has worked with rehab patients and dementia residents at Aurora Senior Living in East Hartford, the Bloomfield Center for Health and Rehabilitation, and Atria Greenridge Place in Rocky Hill. In these positions, she focused on bringing out the best in each resident and maintaining their high quality of life. She is trained in Reiki, therapeutic recreation, and grief counseling, and is a community dementia facilitator for the Alzheimer's Association. She earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in English with a minor in psychology from Central Connecticut State University, as well as an Associate's Degree in liberal arts from the Hartford College for Women.
Barry brings more than 25 years in maintenance and housekeeping management skills to The Saybrook at Haddam where he oversees the daily and long-term upkeep of the community, including all housekeeping services. In addition to his onsite team, he works with all contractors and necessary tradesmen to care for the building's interior and exterior as well as the grounds and gardens. Barry also plays a key role in developing the safety and emergency plans for the community, helping create an exceptional environment for residents, staff and visitors. A life-long resident of East Haddam, Barry can be seen playing guitar at various local fundraisers and civic events. He earned an Associate's Degree in Arts and Sciences from Johnson & Wales in Rhode Island.
